As a passing, and important, note:
Prices approach $1,200 per square foot on homes and condos in the historic West End of downtown Boulder. Compared with a median $ / sf of around $235 for homes sold in Boulder County in 2006, this seems like a stretch. At $1.2 million for a 1,000 sf dwelling, these properties are well out of reach for even Boulderites with above-average income levels. Are these properties really worth 6x the price / sf of a Martin Acres ranch house?
