Boulder is ripe for a future in creative building design. We are home to the award-winning CU Solar Decathalon Team and numerous forward-thinking, sustainable businesses that are on the cutting edge of new technologies and trends in building, landscaping and design. In the current state of unabated development, it seems that many of these local talents are being overlooked in favor of keeping costs down and returns high for investors.
Look at the development in town over the past seven years—is there anything about building design that is distinctive or unique?
How can we achieve balance between the historic and the contemporary?
How do we as a community push the boundaries of what makes our living space great?
I have been checking in on the convention center here in Boulder. From my research, the city has been thinking about this for several years. They came out with an economic vitality plan that discusses the plan for the convention center.
What does everyone think about this convention center?
What about its style and design?
