Design Critics - From The Road
Nov 6th, 2007 by rlsorbe
Over the past couple of weeks we have been looking at design in our everyday lives, and photographing these images we have found throughout Boulder. Boulderspace has found images from historic and modern designs to green development and distinctive, rare designs. We would to share these hidden and under-viewed Boulder designs with our readers, as well as invite all of you to participate in the search for Boulder’s Design Lineage.

Boulderspace will be hosting a design photo gallery opening and discussion at our home office (520 Pearl Street) opening Thursday November 29th at 6:30pm. We will be accepting architectural design photographs of homes and buildings throughout Boulder from our readers over the next few weeks. Our goal is to enlarge some of the most interesting designs and design concepts, and then have a round table discussion about these architectural styles. Special guest architects will be joining our discussions to provide their own expertise. We encourage all our readers and participants to take part in unveiling our city’s design lineage.
This Design Critics From the Road Series will be the first of three. Our first round-table discussion is an open design forum on November 29th. The second will include historic architectural styles throughout our city, which will take place on Thursday, December 13th. The third, and final discussion on January 10th will include unique and rare Boulder designs.
At our first, open design forum we encourage you to take pictures of architectural styles throughout Boulder that you find striking. Keep in mind the design and relationship of these structures to the neighborhood it is in. What do you think of Boulder design?
We are look forward to seeing you all on Thursday, November 29th for tapas, beverages, and discussion.
