Holidays are here..Get out and enjoy the lights

For those of you looking for an opportunity to get into the Holiday spirit, thhe City of Boulder is hosting their annual Parade of Lights tonight December 1st 2007.The Parade starts at 16th and pearl and goes west down Pearl to Walnut and then North at 11th and back east at Spruce. Starting time is around 6:00p.m. The MC stage is located on Walnut between 13th and 14th.Weather is anticipated to be a little cold and snowy, so dress warm.
As you are downtown this year take notice of The City of Boulder’s decision to switch to LED lighting on the trees. The lighting is more efficient and has a longer life span. They are also considering leaving the lights up year around. The benefit to the city is that it saves the cost of putting up and taking down the lights every year; however the lights would be installed on the trees year around. McGuckin Hardware is carrying LED lighting for those of you interested in installing more energy-efficient lighting of your own.
