Helpful Hints for Your Home and Surroundings
Dec 10th, 2007 by contributor
Lawrence J. King, a Boulder community member contributes his ideas on how to make your living space a better place.
1. Your home should have a warm, happy, and comfortable feeling.
2. Live plants give beauty, freshness, and oxygen to your home.
3. Air out your home frequently by opening doors and windows, even in the winter months because the outside air is more healthy and refreshing than the stale air of a closed-up house.
4. When your house and surroundings are clean and in order, you will automatically feel happier and more relaxed.
5. Let the temperature in your house reflect the outside weather. Allow your house to be cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer.
6. Planting a row of flowers, tending a small garden, or providing food for hungry birds is guaranteed to be a positive and nurturing experience.
7. Pets such as dogs, cats, or fish always brighten up your day and home as well.
8. Pictures, paintings, or posters on the wall of your house make for a pleasant environment.
