Ulla Lange Design:
This remodeled kitchen in a modest brick ranch house is everything the owner/designer had planned and hoped for. It’s a great place to cook and have your whole family involved, as the space allows for one person at the range, another one taking care of the dishes, one chopping and a few others just sitting at the peninsula, watching and enjoying a glass of wine.
The main focus on the remodel was to use as many environmentally friendly materials as possible. The cabinets are totally formaldehyde free and were produced locally, the counters are made from solid surface material Durat that has 30% recycled content, and the range backsplash tiles have a 50% recycled content. The “eye candy” of the kitchen is 3-form eco-resin, which was used as cabinet doors and back panels in the peninsula.

Another key goal was to use the relatively small space (13-6 x 11) as efficiently as possible. Every cubic inch is utilized, thanks to ingenious pullout trays, blind corner cabinet systems and other components.
Lighting was carefully considered and chosen for its functional and aesthetic qualities. Halogen bulbs provide great light and last much longer than incandescent ones.
The space has a varied palette of materials, colors and textures, which complement one another in a subtle understated way.

wonderful, great space and use of color
I would love to meet with my close ones in a kitchen like this. Enjoying the dearest company and a fine glass of white wine.
