Buena Vista Bike Rack Design

I was recently in Buena Vista, Colorado and saw a functional bike rack design that encompassed aesthetic qualities. With a dual role, you can accessibly and easily lock and unlock your bike, as well as check out the river and watch paddlers in the play hole. The bench/bike rack is in a perfect location, as bike trails are located all along the river (on either side). This in one of the best rack designs I have seen yet in Colorado. It’s funny to me think about the design of this bike rack, I wonder if I would have ever thought about locking my bike up there unless that outline of a bike was on the back of the bench. I wonder if anyone else can think of a design along the same lines or if a designer has any real world experience with going the extra step to make things obvious about the use of their design.
