Johns-on-Wheels
Jun 16th, 2008 by rlsorbe
We have explored the intricacies of high-end
contemporary design from bicycles like the Vanilla, simplicity from the
Townie, and functionality by the
Aquaduct; but have you ever seen a three-wheeled
Kohler toilet cruising down the road? From the Philadelphia Fringe Festival, we introduce the humor and artistic embellishment of the Toilet Tricycle Race. I realize that this competition has been archived in the past, but as we are exploring bike designs, I thought this unique set of racers and their tricycles were worth sharing.
Chris Mckenna’s Flickr set portrays a pictorial explanation from this event and the various Johns-on-Wheels that swept through the crowed of Philadelphia’s historic Old City Neighborhood.
Philadelphia’s Fringe is part of an International Festival that generates excitement and creativity throughout communities all over the world.
