Step Right Up! Step Right Up! Welcome to the Sustainable Living Roadshow! We’re tossing out fossil fuels! We’re reducing our dependency with renewable energy folks! Thats right, for all of you who are interested in taking part in the Democratic National Convention in Denver and having a great time, here’s your opportunity:

SLR is a national coalition of educators and entertainers who tour the country in a fleet of renewable fuel vehicles to empower communities and individuals to utilize sustainable living strategies for a healthier planet. Visiting k-12 schools, university campuses and community festivals across the United States, the caravan sets up off-the-grid eco-festivals with experiential learning villages, featuring workshops, speakers and entertainment. This summer, August 26th -27th, they will be hosting a two day eco-carnival at Hirshorn Park during the Denver National Convention - and are looking to share this experience with some of Boulder’s designers, businesses, organizations, speakers, workshop leaders and those professionals in the green industries. After speaking with SLR organizers, they are looking for groups to table, teach workshops on sustainability issues, speak about the movement, showcase products and technologies, and perform on site demonstrations.
SLR provides a great opportunity for Denver/Boulder’s leading professionals in green building, solar technology systems, LED experts, and architects to jump on board with their caravan to spread our solutions to individuals all over the country during this convention. “Be the Change” Flagship Eco-coach bus
This is a modern example of green technologies on the road. The bus is bult with radiant heat flooring, full solar array on the roof-top, bamboo floors, recycled redwood cabinets, energy-star fridge and freezer, hemp cushions, energy-efficient shower head, LED lights, alcohol stove, biodiesel-ready engine and more!
Eco-Earth Yacht Trailer:
This old air-stream trailer has been rebuilt with sustainable bamboo interior, LED lights, solar cells and a wind generator for power, hemp cushions and more!
The kitchen Truck:
Runs on bio-diesel and has solar and wind generators for energy. We serve only organic vegetarian food from this truck and sustains us as we travel.
Our Conscious Carnival creates a fun and interactive opportunity for attendees to learn about important issues, play games and get rewarded with solutions as their prizes! Nobody looses in the Conscious Carnival!

It would be great to see architects like Spector and Associates (http://www.spectorassociates.com/) present their work, or organize a workshop of sorts. Like wise, it would be refreshing to see CU Bio diesel crew (http://www.cubiodiesel.org/where_to_find_biodiesel.php) there to stir up some excitement. there is so much possible synergy to in the boulder and Denver areas, I’d like to see some of these groups join forces at the DNC.
