Live from the Outdoor Retailer Summer Show (OR) in Salt Lake City. We are witnessing some of the most innovative, functional, and purposeful designs in the outdoor industry for 2009. Retailers, engineers, designers, and textile professionals have all come together to showcase their products for the summer of 2009. Year after year it amazes me that the outdoor industry can consistently innovate and update existing products. Just when you thought you had the lightest sleeping bag or the best tent and stove, watch out for 2009.
Over the upcoming weeks we will be featuring many of our local company brands through an interview series showcasing innovations from our local area including Cocona Fabrics, Kelty, Green Guru Gear by Ecological Designs, Zeal Optics, Sierra Designs and more. This showcasing will feature next year’s tents, solar technologies, fashion and functional outer wear, green lines, and textile details as we explore the inspiration and design within the Rocky Mountain region.
