Clarence Erickson filming in Boulder - What would you like to see?
Aug 29th, 2008 by rlsorbe
Clarence Erickson of StreetFilms out of NYC is filming in Boulder September 26th through October 1st. His films capture unique and proactive inspiration within a City and it’s developments. Topics he is interested in filming include our public transportation system and it’s funky names (HOP, SKIP & JUMP), our bike/pedestrian infrastructure, and elements of Boulder’s healthy lifestyle . In preparation for his journey here, City coordinators working with Clarence are interested in hearing what would you like to see filmed Boulder and shared with the world?“Streetfilms is the video arm of the Livable Streets Network: producing educational, entertaining, and inspiring films for a sustainable urban environment. Our short, on-line videos on topics such as bus rapid transit in Bogota, Colombia, neighborhood traffic-calming in Portland, Oregon, and bike lane design in Copenhagen, Denmark have been viewed more than half a million times and used to support advocacy projects in communities from Toronto to Tasmania.” - www.livablestreets.com/On Monday, September 29th Go Boulder and Community Cycles will co-host a viewing of Clarence’s films at Full Cycle (1795 pearl St.) and will be projecting StreetFilms in a public setting. Doors open at 7:30 pm, donation requested to benefit Community Cycles - Beer and munchies will be available.Comment below or email your ideas to Sue Prant - What would you like to see filmed in Boulder?
Thanks for sharing this. I really enjoyed the video,
I would like to see the Thursday night bike ride filmed.
what about an interview with the CU Folsom Field Bike station crew - a work in progress? New Bike Stations At Folsom Park: http://boulderspace.org/2008/07/18/new-bike-stations-at-cu-folsom-park/
I guess two things come to mind: 1) the informal hitching on the road up to Ned. I’d definitely try to get a few folks doing that. Also, I’d poke around some of the new urbanist neighborhoods like Holiday and Dakota Ridge, or maybe even Prospect New Town in Longmont.
