Geometry in Architecture

I recently visited the CU’s Center for Innovation and Creativity to learn more about the architecture and planning department’s student work this past semester. I found the fall ‘08 studio, lead by designer Chris Palmer, that featured Geometry in Architecture to be an incredible success. Through geometric design process, they built a pavilion dedicated to Akio Hizume, whose mastery of the Box Slot connection and love of 5-fold symmetry inspired student project endeavors. I recommend taking a look at each of the student’s work, and the building of this pavilion. Boulderspace will be featuring the documented process in the upcoming weeks.
